Nyle vs. The Naysayers
NYLE
A Philly born veteran of the New York City Underground, Nyle has spent the past half-decade on a journey through rap that has acquired a legion of followers who identify with his persona as much as they are entertained by his storytelling. Upon his acceptance to New York University, Nyle would become a staple within New York City’s SinSin Circuit, (one of the city’s most respected collections of rappers) winning the Off-the-Head Game Show Battle, and 2006 Best Freshman MC award.
2007 saw the release of his debut album Frosh. A chronicling of his freshman year at New York University, Frosh quickly became a cult sensation that rose to the top of college charts as Nyle filled venues around the East Coast from clubs to college auditoriums.
Nyle closed out his college career headlining a sold-out concert which featured Hip Hop staples Asher Roth, Kidz In the Hall, 88 Keys, Izza Kizza, and Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg. The following day, Nyle release a music video for his hit cover single ‘Let The Beat Build’, which was immediately proclaimed as one of the year’s most innovative music videos. The video garnered tremendous buzz, and was a featured piece on websites ranging from Gawker to Nah Right to Kanye West’s blog, KanyeUniversecity.
Nyle has translated his growing buzz into performance success. This summer Nyle performed at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival alongside legendary acts such as Dead Prez, Black Thought from the Roots and Pharoahe Monch. The following week, he was premiered his new song ‘GangReal’ in a live performance/interview on MTVs ‘It’s On With Alexa Chung.’
Now, a well-resp ected NYC artist with a steadily growing following, he is set to release his next LP entitled Capstone, later this summer, in conjunction with a collection of video releases.
ISAAC TEEL

“aka FUNKNASTY”
Hometown: Staten Island
Weapon of Choice: The Skins and The Mic
Isaac is one of those musicians that has ridiculous star quality even though they’re pushed back the farthest away from the audience. Even people who don’t know much about musicianship will be like “Your drummer is dope.” Hailing from Staten Island, and an alum of NYC’s Drummers’s Collective, Isaac has a world of experience under his belt, and hosts a ton of hidden talents like production, singing and songwriting.

MITCH FRIEDMAN
Hometown: South Florida
Weapon of Choice: Fender P-bass
Homepage: www.mitchthebassplayer.com
For the past three years Mitch has not only been my bassist, but my go-to music supervisor both on stage and in the studio. On scholarship at NYU’s classical music dept, perfect-pitch Mitch has the chops to play with Shostakovich and funk with Chaka Khan. However, he’s been invaluable to me not only because of his talent, but because of his ability to translate my musical babble into notation.
BENAMIN
Hometown: New York City
Weapon of Choice: MPC
Homepage: benamin.bandcamp.com
A graduate of New York City’s LaGuardia High School (made famous by the movie “Fame”) and NYU’s Clive Davis Dept, Benamin is an accomplished Hip Hop producer, studio engineer and the newest recruit to the Naysayer team. Benamin’s online debut came when he linked up underground veteran Fresh Daily on his mixtape “Tomorrow is Today.” Ben produced the single off the mixtape “Apollo 13” which was also featured on “The Times EP” a collaboration between the two.
Though Ben is a recent addition to the Naysayers, he produced “Moutly” a track off of Nyle’s debut album “Frosh“. Originally brought on to produce the Capstone EP, he officially became apart of the band after using his MPC to fill in for keyboards at the legendary 48-Hour Concert at Lake Johnson. Both as a Hip Hop producer and Naysayer he’s been making waves in the industry will continue to, as the best is yet to come.
