Alirght so I listened to my ex-classmate, zooligan, and homie Elle Varner’s mixtape “Conversational Lush” and I this was pretty much my reaction: This is the type of music that I always new she was capable of making. I don’t really like R&B. I like great R&B songs but for the most part I don’t have the ADD to keep up with the corny lyrics. But THIS mixtape is funky (as hell),  with beats hard enough to keep me pumped during my morning run. Most of all, her lyrics are on point! On point! ON POINT! Quirky, funny, inspirational….an oasis in the desert of corny songs. I love the voices of Melanie Fion, Jasmine Sullivan, and Chrisette Michele, but every time I listen to their albums the full way through I feel like I’ve taken a shot of estrogen to my balls.  Anyway, I’m wildin.
